In this moderated Q&A panel, O Comic Con creator guests Phil Hester, Bruce McCorkindale, and Ande Parks will patiently let you pester them with your questions about making comics.

Eisner-nominee Phil Hester has been writing and drawing comics since the dawn of time. He has drawn Kevin Smith’s Green Arrow, Mark Millar’s Swamp Thing, Warren Ellis’ Shipwreck, Robert Kirkman’s Ant-Man, as well as runs on Nightwing, The Flash, Batman Beyond, and many more. He currently draws backups in Young Animal’s Mother Panic, and lays out Teen Titans. He will soon be drawing Jeff Lemire’s Family Tree for Image. Phil has written Wonder Woman, The Darkness, Deathstroke, and his co-creations The Coffin with artist Mike Huddleston, and Firebreather with Andy Kuhn, which became an Emmy-winning feature on Cartoon Network. He currently writes Blood Blister for Aftershock Comics with artist Tony Harris.

Ande Parks has worked as a comic book artist for close to twenty years, inking titles such as Daredevil, Ant-Man, Superman, Wonder Woman and Nightwing. Parks has worked for every major American comic book publisher. He is best known for his four year stint on Green Arrow, with frequent collaborator Phil Hester and writers Kevin Smith, Brad Meltzer and Judd Winick. Green Arrow was highly acclaimed as a series, and the book was named as one of 2003’s Best Books for Young Adults by the American Library Association’s Young Adult Library Service. Parks also worked with artist Tony Moore, on The Exterminators and Fear Agent. Parks’ bold style garnered him nominations in both the Harvey and Eagle awards.Parks has authored the Green Hornet and Lone Ranger franchises for Dynamite, and has written Daredevil for Marvel Comics. He has adapted two Jonathan Kellerman novels to the graphic novel format for Random House. Parks is currently inking Shade the Changing Girl and other titles for DC.

Bruce McCorkindale was born in Omaha, and currently lives nearby in Gretna, Nebraska. He has worked on comics projects for a number of publishers, including Marvel, DC, Malibu, Fantagraphics, and IDW.He has done some writing and penciling, but has focused mostly on inking. His inks can be found in books such as RUNE VS. VENOM, DINOSAURS FOR HIRE, THE NIGHT MAN, and STAR TREK: DEEP SPACE NINE.He has worked on several projects with Phil Hester, including BLACK ORCHID, THE FOOT SOLDIERS, THE WRETCH, and GODZILLA: KINGDOM OF MONSTERS. Currently, Bruce is trying to keep his focus on creator-owned books. He is currently revamping his graphic novel THE FALLING MAN, a work that originally came out from Image and Caliber.
